The Hudsucker Proxy is a totally fictional account… it does not reflect in ANY way, the creation, production, marketing or ANY part of the making of the Hula Hoop. Not a single fact was included in this movie!… which to me, is a travesty! I know… I was there.

I think that this film definitely should have won some Oscars…(directors, actors, story, sfx, edit, dop… at least) It’s just such a shame that it flopped at the box office.

This is a great movie. But surely no one assumes that is the true account to the invention of the Hoola Hoop. This movie is about the desire for wealth and the empty feeling after getting it. How’s the saying go “More money, More problems”
